It's down to Georgia Tech and UConn. UConn won by only 1 point this weekend. If you are wondering why I suddenly know anything about basketball it means $60 for me if UConn wins. I was put into a basketball pool at work even though I didn't even want to join it as I know nothing about sports. But hey, gambling is gambling count me in.

I think your money is safe. UConn should....SHOULD be able to handle GT. Of course I thought Ok state would be able to handle them too!!

An ESPN poll has UConn winning a close game against GA Tech at 52%. If I win the $60 I'll spend a little of it on Lottos. Winning tends to attract more winning.

I really have no dog in this fight, though I suppose I'm pulling for UConn (or maybe against GT would be a better way of putting it). Love the look on those Duke sissies' faces when they didn't get the call on Redick at the end of the UConn game. My biggest criticism of Duke is that they won't play tough opponents on the road, outside of conference. They like to play at home, or neutral courts at worst. As such, they get about 3 out of every 4 calls their way. Lo and behold the 1 out of 4 that doesn't go their way, and the little pansy-wearing tikes don't know how to react. What do I care anyway, college basketball sux....

    Cool

When they played earlier this year, G-Tech won by 16 but... It wasnt the same lineup they face tonight and UCONN has ben playing as well as anyone in this years dance. G-Tech also won their last game on a last second shot.

Okla St. loosing knocked me out of the office pool.

I still have a chance to share $400.00 with my friend(we went in together on a box pool). I just need the last numbers of the score to match our numbers.

My office pool was $1 each, I didn't even contribute, but my supervisor put each of us in my business unit in so when I win I'll buy him some scratch-offs.

Well last night was the first basketball game I watched for more than 5 minutes ever. I didn't watch the whole thing but kept switiching back to it and had to watch it to the end to make sure I won. It was a massacre the first half, but Georgia Tech made for a few uneasy moments in the last few minutes narrowing the gap to only 8 points. I think UConn's victory was made even easier by the number of fouls caused by GA Tech. Another issue I noticed, and not even knowing much about sports it goes to show how obvious it must have been: UConn worked as a team, well executed trade-offs, good interference, as if they worked it out in advance. GA Tech had a few "star" players who wouldn't let go of the ball, they tried to win it all on their own and had no real team effort. Perhaps the GA Tech coach should remind them that TEAM means "Together Each Achieves More". And this concludes my interest and commentary on sports until further notice.
